M.anifest (Kwame Tsikata)
Ghanaian Kwame Tsikata is a rising MC on the twin cities entertainment scene. Performing under the stage name M.anifest his music transcends boundaries as he gently straddles two cultures allowing his listeners in on his Afrocentric world. You can sample his music on his Myspace page www.myspace.com/manifestations, but even better M.anifest is giving out a free album at www.manifestmc.com, sixteen tracks, to his fans. The album is for a good cause, he asks that you instead give money to his favorite charity: YE,A www.yea-online.org a group that offers practical financial and mentoring support to youth in Ghana.
Tsitsy Andrianaivo
Tsitsy Andrianaivo began playing the piano as an 11-year old in Madagascar. Over the years he has developed his gift into an art playing everything from soul, blues, bossa nova, and jazz . His musical influences include: Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Dave Brubeck and Sergio Mendes. A recent graduate of Waldorf, Andrianaivo has played at the Waldorf Christmas Concert and Jazz Christmas at the University of Minnesota.
Patience
Patience has been singing for as long as she can remember. When she was fourteen, she travelled with the Oklahoma Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA). An award-winning musician Patience's music is a blend of adult contemporary and jazz. She has opened for artists such as the Grammy-nominated Excelsior Chorale Ensemble---and has shared the stage with Grammy Award winning Josh Groban. Click here to sample her music.
